A big thanks to all competitors and the great sponsors who helped make the Kawartha Karting Challange a success.

June 14
This coming Sunday is our race #4 – Fathers Day Special. We will have prizes throughout the day and a draw for a big prize for one of the dad’s at trophy presentations.
We will also have a “Powder Puff” race at the end of the day before we tear down the track. Anyone willing to loan their kart and/ or equipment to one of the mothers, girlfriend, sister or friend of the non-male persuasion will be appreciated. Last year was a lot of fun even though they didn’t want to come off the track.
The club needs someone to volunteer to use their tow vehicle to pull the trailers. The pick-up truck we used at the last race is not available (out of commission). It might be a good idea for the club to buy a cheap (less than $500) vehicle to leave at the track. Anyone with a lead on one, please see Steve at the track.
We will need to make some repairs to the tire barriers. Kawartha made up some new ones for us, but doesn’t have the manpower to fix the other ones. I would be a good idea to bolt them together instead of using Tapcons (which don’t hold very well). Anyone willing to bring a cordless drill and work on one or 2 during the day or before we start, or at the end of the day – we will provide the bolts. With enough people we should be able to plow through them all in 1/2 hour.
PS looks like sun, bring a hat.
